Should I cancel my wedding?

The three words no wedding vendor wants to hear is “cancel my wedding”. In the beginning of the pandemic, our phone rang off the hook with nearly all of our couples with questions on what to do about their nuptials. When you think about the astronomical amount of effort put into planning the perfect day, why would someone want to cancel?

For many people, they simply just wanted to be married. And when you’re quarantined, having a big celebration is just not in the cards. Fortunately, many of our couples had decided to postpone their receptions with the right guidance from their wedding vendors. Now that we’re in sem-post pandemic conditions with regulations being a little less strict, the influx of weddings and events is back!

But even with that great news, some couples are debating on whether or not to cancel their wedding venue in hopes to have a more cost effective backyard celebration. And if that’s you, that’s ok! But before you pull the plug, consider these few things.

Your wedding venue will see to it that you and your guests will want for nothing. The food will be freshly prepared, hot, and flavorful. Your guests will have clean restrooms that are refreshed throughout the reception and stocked with plenty of supplies. Everyone will be enjoying a comfortably controlled climate. Rainy day? No problem. Windy outside? That’s ok. Power go out? Your venue most likely has a generator to keep the party going.

All in all, when you book with a venue, it’s all about peace of mind. All of the setup, breakdown, and cleanup is taken care of. You won’t need to stack chairs and tables or drive stakes into the ground for a 100 ft long tent. You’ll have a comfortable suite to get ready in with plenty of room and light to make sure you look your absolute best. And last but not least, you won’t be losing your deposit.

With so many benefits, you can rest assured that deciding not to cancel your wedding booked at your venue is the best sand least costly option.
